QMBSocial is all about computing.

We are here to:

To promote the social activities in the school of computing.
This will include:
• Continuing the successful barbecues
• Gaming sessions
• Nights out
To provide a ‘forum’ where people can meet people who have the same passion for computing. This could come in the form of:
• Sessions where members can meet and chat about a particular topic or anything.
• User groups or similar – where people can share experiences & problems of a particular nature
• Talks from members or invited guests that might interest the rest of the group.
To continue the successful charitable events in the school. The gaming session and cake sale this year was a great success – the aim would be to organise something for comic relief, children in need and any other cause that we feel is a good one to support.
To provide a network of support where people can go for help. Everyone hits problems in their computing life – and sometimes knowing where to go for the answer can be difficult. The aim here would be for an internet forum, where general problems could be asked and everyone could give answers.
